This poem by Jennifer Sutcliffe describes the first tentative steps of love through to the triumph of love in all the world has to throw at us.
In a time where hatred and evil are very evident in the world we know it’s good to be reminded of the power of love in dark times. From small beginnings to great things.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Looking Forward
by Jennifer Sutcliffe
The first look
The first step
The first word
The first kiss
Is this LOVE: that all important word?
That which makes the world go round.
That which moves mountains.
That which replaces hatred in the hearts of men.
If we are lucky enough to find it
It will always mean that we can look forward.
For love conquers all
Even in the darkest of times, love shines its light
And clears our path so that we can move on.
